OLYMPIC HILLS COMMUNITY POCKET PARK

This formerly trashy blackberry patch is being transformed into a neighborhood nature-space with an ample path, daylighting of a small creek, an interpretive bridge, side paths through native plant “rooms”, artwork, a neighborhood gathering space, and a wayside for the Lake City Greenway, all on a block of SDOT right-of-way. It is also a Seattle Public Utilities community partnership project and will feature a major biofiltration facility treating dirty runoff from adjacent streets.
