NORTHGATE BIKE AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

The Northgate Bike & Pedestrian Bridge will open up access for students, residents and workers from west of I-5 to the new Light Rail station at Northgate Mall on the east side of the freeway, creating car-free transportation options, reducing traffic congestion and reducing Seattle’s dependence on fossil fuels.

As part of a large engineering and design team, J+S’s responsibilities focus on providing a pedestrian experience that feels safe, comfortable and compelling enough that people will want to use the nearly 2000’ long structure, mitigating environmental impacts, and helping the structure fit into the college campus and urban fabric.
